She ensures the smooth running of the practice and liaises with the Partners and members of staff. She is available to the patients should they have any suggestions, queries or complaints.
Secretary

Part of the secretarial duties is to process clinical correspondence, make urgent hospital appointments and to register new patients.
Reception team
We have six (part-time) receptionists who are trained to deal with patients’ enquiries. They may need to ask for a few medical details to help the doctor to help you. Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
